Automation & API Integrations

Automate the busywork, not the judgement

Most teams lose hours to work that is entirely mechanical: copying records between systems, chasing status, re-keying the same data into a third tool. That work is automatable. The judgement around it usually is not, and we do not pretend otherwise.

What we build

Workflow automation

Multi-step processes — intake, routing, approval, notification — running without someone shepherding each stage.

Process automation

The repetitive internal work that has quietly become somebody’s job.

API integrations

Systems connected directly so data moves once, correctly, instead of being re-entered.

AI-assisted automation

AI applied where it creates genuine leverage — classifying, drafting, summarising, extracting — with a person still deciding the things that need deciding.

  • Workflow Automation
  • Process Automation
  • API Integrations

Problems this solves

  • The same information typed into three systems because none of them talk to each other.
  • A process that only one person understands, and stops entirely when they are away.
  • Tools bought to save time that now need managing themselves.
  • Reporting assembled by hand every week from exports.

How the work runs

  1. Map

Write down what actually happens today, including the undocumented steps.

  2. Pick the targets

Automate what is repetitive and well-defined. Leave what needs judgement.

  3. Integrate

Connect the systems, with failure states handled rather than assumed away.

  4. Hand over

Documented, observable, and owned by your team — not a black box only we can service.

Who this is for

  • Operations where headcount is growing to keep up with admin rather than demand.
  • A stack of SaaS tools that each hold part of the truth.
  • A weekly report that takes a person a day to assemble.

What to have ready

None of this is a prerequisite — we can work it out together. It just makes the first conversation shorter.

  • A written description of the process as it runs today, including the steps people improvise.
  • The tools involved and who administers each one.
  • Roughly how often the process runs and how long it currently takes.
  • Which steps genuinely need a human decision — that boundary shapes the whole build.

Questions we get asked

Do we need to replace our existing tools?

Usually not. Most of this work is making the tools you already pay for talk to each other, which is cheaper and far less disruptive than a migration.

What happens when an integration breaks?

Integrations are built with error handling and visibility, so a failure surfaces as an alert rather than as silently missing data discovered weeks later.

Where does AI actually fit?

In the steps that involve reading and transforming unstructured text — classifying an enquiry, extracting fields from a document, drafting a first response. We do not put it in control of decisions that carry real consequences.

Automation work often starts from something built in a web project, and pairs with system integration, which is part of this same service. More on how we approach AI, or see everything we offer.
